Module 2 - Setting Up The Saxophone
The main parts of the saxophone and how to connect them.
Module 3 - The Neck Strap and How To Adjust It
The sling/strap/neck strap and how to raise it or lower it in order for the saxophone to be at the correct height and comfortable when you play.
Module 4 - Embouchure
The shape of your mouth around the mouthpiece when playing and where to position the top teeth and bottom lip/jaw.
Module 5 - Getting A Sound and Tuning The Saxophone
Producing a sound with the saxophone and how to raise and lower the pitch of the notes with the mouthpiece.
Module 6 - Placing of Hands/Playing G, A, B, C
Where to position the hands and fingerings for the notes G, A, B and C using the left hand.
Module 7 - Basics of Music Theory/Reading Sheet Music
Bars & bar lines, counting the beat, time signatures and key signatures.
Module 8 - D, E, F, F#, G in the Upper Register
Fingerings for the notes D, E, F, G and F# in the right hand.
Module 9 - Tonguing and Slurs in Written Music
Where to place the tongue on the reed and how to use it to control the production of the sound. Also reading slurs and using the tongue correctly to perform them.

How to play a G major scale & arpeggio and which notes are required for each.

This beginners saxophone course is designed to get you from taking the saxophone out of the case to being able to play G major scale/arpeggio and a few short pieces.

How long does the course last?
There are almost 2 hours of video lessons, spread across 10 modules and broken into digestible sections/lessons.
What materials does it include?
10 videos taking you step by step from setting up the saxophone and how to hold it, getting a sound and playing some basic notes, to learning how to play a G major scale/arpeggio and some simple pieces and exercises. Each of the videos are accompanied by useful PDFs to help guide you through the course.
What can I expect to learn/accomplish?
You should be able to go from opening the case and picking up the saxophone for the first time to learning how to play a G major scale and arpeggio, along with a few simple pieces and exercises.
